Distinguished guests from Thailand recently visited the Wega factory in Susegana, Northern Italy. The factory is the heart of the company, and with a production area of over 20,000m2, it is the biggest single coffee machine manufacturing plant in the world.

The visit provided an opportunity to reconfirm the successful partnership between Wega and Aroma Group with the primary aim of providing baristas with a guaranteed in-cup yield that is perfect every time.

The delegation was led by Marketing Director Ms Chattakarn Wannakool of Aroma Group, one of the most important players in the Thai market with over 60 years’ experience in the coffee sector. Also present were a number of journalists from newspapers, magazines and websites specialising in Asia: Ms Thidawan Kunhasit (Thairath Newspaper), Ms Chutima Suncharoen (Krunthepturakij Newspaper), Ms Ratchaneewan Laonutwutthikul (Gourmet & Cuisine Magazine), Ms Nanthasarit Jamsomboon and Mr Eakpon Iamlamnam (Iheretv.com) and Mrs Soranun Ramanun (Soranun Plus Co). Accompanying them was Ms Jenjira Putthiwanidphimon, winner of the 7th Thailand Indy Barista Championship, a barista competition which took place last December in Bangkok with the valued support of Aroma Group.

Among the highlights of the first day was an interview with Paolo Nadalet, Managing Director of Wega Macchine per Caffè, who, after replying to several questions on Italian coffee-drinking habits, went on to explain how the identity of Wega is reflected in its ambition to offer a range of electronic, semi-automatic and manual machines capable of capturing the essence of authentic Italian coffee.
